I know as a real estate agent, I am supposed to say, “Buy a Home it’s the GREATEST thing to do for your financial future!” But LONG before I earned my real estate license, I was a real estate investor, bought and sold homes, apartments, flipped houses. Owned over 200 rental units (single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, and multiple apartment complexes!) and earned a major in Real Restate Finance with a minor in Real Estate Law. WITH ALL THAT SAID - I am telling you - UNEQUIVOCALLY, NO DOUBT, 100% SURE THING that buying a house is the smartest thing you can ever do to secure your financial future! #1 YOU NEED A PLACE TO LIVE!! Right now, the average 3 bedroom rents for around $1,300+ a month. If you rent, you do get the benefit of a roof over your head and the privilege of paying off your landlord's mortgage! Now for that same $1,300 you can BUY a house in the price range between $225k to $250k depending on your interest rate, taxes, and insurance that all have to be added in! #2, 3, 4, and 5.....we will not get into the appreciation of the home, the fact you have the ultimate leverage in a home mortgage, tax benefits, or the pride and security of homeownership! Warren Buffet (The BEST investor, one of the richest and smartest men in the world) says that a 30-year mortgage is one of the “best instruments in the world, it's an incredibly attractive instrument for the homeowner!” Sure, you have to upkeep your house when you own it! Let’s face it most rentals no matter how great the landlord is, they are still rentals and are treated as such! NO ONE WILL TAKE CARE OF A HOUSE like the OWNER of that house (pride of ownership!)! You, as the renter, ultimately pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the home anyway in the form of higher rents! So you can live in a rental for 30 years and light your money on fire or buy a home live in it for 30 years and reap the benefits of this wise investment! There are many more details involved with this, so if you have any questions, reach out to me on ANY social media platform, and I would love to explain this in greater detail! #teamyannett #myhomesavannah #buyahome #homeownership #firsttimehomebuyer
