SUPPORT THE POOL FUND
The Isle of Hope Swimming Club has been around since the 1960's and is almost a rite of passage for the kids of the island. So many friends and families have shared their stories of 'growing up at the pool'. At the close of the 2018 season, we will be making some much-needed repairs & upgrades to the large pool's pump room and electrical system.

To date we have been able to offset a lot of our costs by fundraising and accepting donations. This has allowed us to keep our membership costs low and unchanged for the last several years. We are asking for your support as we prepare for these significant repairs and upgrades.

Please consider donation to the Isle of Hope Swimming Club today.
The Isle of Hope Swimming Club is a 501C7 organization operating as a Non-Profit.

Isle of Hope Baptist Child Development Center: Summer Camp
Many of you have been asking “when are the campers coming?” This season, the IOH Baptist Day Care campers will come Monday, Wednesday, andFriday, in two separate groups, starting with group one at 10am, and group two at 11:30am. They will complete their use of the pool at 1pm.
Members can still come to the pool - just know that from 10am - 1pm we will have some little guests.

Also - the day care has asked to remind our members: Please do not park on the church side (Rosenberg Ln) parking spots during the day. Those spots are for daycare staff and parents and are not available for pool use until after 6:30 pm M-F. (Weekends are fine)

Please park in the pool parking lot during the week, during the day.

IOH Pool Lightning Plan
As we start to get into severe weather season, please become familiar with the IOH Pool Lightening and Emergency Action Plan. (Especially parents that send their kids to the pool on their own.) Parents who send/allow their kids to visit the pool on their own are advised to communicate their family plan to their children so they know what to do and where to go should we get to a Threat Level 3. Parents are responsible for their children's transportation.
At Threat Level 2 (Lightning detected w/in 15 miles) lifeguards will clear the water until the ALL CLEAR is given. If the storm is progressing, parents are advised to instruct their kids to return home or to a safe place so they are not left out in the open should we get to a threat level 3 and have to close the pool. Sitting outside in the park waiting until the pool opens again is not safe.

At Threat Level 3 (Lightning Detected within 10 miles) the lifeguards will clear the pool area and the pool will close until the all clear is given. There will be no exceptions. There is no surface inside the pool area that is not wet. Water + Electricity do not mix. This is for your and our safety.

ALL CLEAR is after 30 minutes of no detected lightning strikes within a 10-mile radius.

For a copy of the pools lightning plan please click the link below. If you have any questions, please email the IOH pool. The information contained in this plan is readily available via the Chatham County Health Department and the United States Lifesaving Association.
